First 3 Days
-Leave tattoo wrap on for at least 2 to 3 hours after leaving the shop, but no longer than 8 hours.
-After removing the wrap, gently wash with unscented antibacterial soap and warm water.
-Pat dry with a paper towel, not a cloth towel and do not reapply wrap.
-Cover with a VERY thin layer of ointment such as Aquaphor or A&D.
-Repeat this 2x a day
First 2 Weeks
-Cover with a thin layer of unscented moisturizer, coconut oil, or specialized tattoo cream.
-Continue this until your tattoo is healed and no longer scabbing or peeling, which may take up to 2 or more weeks.
Long-Term Care
-Limit sun exposure, and use sunscreen on your tattoo to prevent aging.
-Continue to moisturize your tattoo.
Warnings
-Do not scratch, pick, or peel any scabbing which may occur.
-Do not soak or submerge your tattoo while healing, ie hot tubs, baths, swimming, etc.
-Do not overexpose your tattoo to direct sunlight.
-Do not participate in rigorous exercise for the first 5 days.
-If at any point you believe your tattoo has become infected, please seek medical attention.
-Signs of infection include: excess heat to touch, oozing pus, abnormal swelling, or fever.
